Behold! What you're about to see might just change the way you cook pasta forever, and lead you to the dark (I mean, lazy) side of the kitchen!

It all started with a quick one-minute Facebook video that promised an easier way to cook pasta: one pot, all ingredients in, minimal cleanup.

At that time, I had a six-months baby and a restless five-year-old, so every saved minute mattered. Skeptical at first, I wasn’t sure this was going to work. But it turned out to be a game-changer—delicious, rich in flavor, and shockingly easy to make.

One-pan pasta – the easiest dish for busy people

Here’s the only issue with this recipe: once you start, it’s hard to go back. If it didn’t taste so good, I wouldn’t be writing about it, but it’s become my go-to for over a year now. From spaghetti to linguine, one-pot pasta is a lifesaver, especially on busy days. More time for a salad, maybe even an extra dish if I’m feeling ambitious. If you’re after simple, time-saving recipes, here’s how you can make a one-pot pasta that’s as good as it is easy.

One-pan pasta – 20 Minutes, One Pot to clean

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. one package dry spaghetti (or any other pasta)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large diced tomato
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 big sprigs of basil, and a few leaves for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cups of water (add gradually)
  • salt + pepper
  • Vegan cream cheese (for garnishing 🪄)

Instructions:

In a wide pot, combine all the ingredients with half the water. Bring to a boil over high heat, stir, and turn the pasta frequently until it is al dente and the water has nearly evaporated. And that’s it actually 💁‍♀️

Once you have mastered the one-pan Napolitana recipe, you’ll find yourself trying the one-pan method with just about any other pasta.
